I want to go all over the world
And start living free
I know that there's somebody who
Is waiting for me
I'll build a boat, steady and true
As soon as it's done
I'm going to sail along in the dreams
Of my dear someone

One little star, smiling tonight
Knows where you are
Stay, little star, steady and bright
To guide me afar
Blow, little wind, over the deep
For now I've begun
Hurry and take me straight into the arms
Of my dear someone
Hurry and take me straight into the arms
Of my dear someone

5. Dear Someone
(Rawlings-Welch) Jesus – I thought my banjo was bad! Parallel universe country music of Gillian Welch's nightmares – but I prefer this to her. It's really Tom Waits tinkering with writing a soundtrack for a Hitchcock movie. If any BMB track is ever to become famous I would guess this would be it. Brilliant.--Davy

tj band (Tuomas Laitila and me) joined with Ilona Jokiranta (from Petty Pilgrims) for a few tracks and the idea was to form a new home studio band and at least make a CD. We never got that far. But I wanted to get those 8-9 tracks published somehow and this box seemed to be the right context to do it. You know - anything goes within The Baltic Moonshine Band! Dear Someone is a Welch-Rawling song, at least they play it, and a Tuomas favourite, so we start with it. -- Jore
